Welcome to Pensions
Welcome to the Pensions Website for the University of Cambridge. As an employer, the University and its associated employers offers access to a number of tax-efficient pension arrangements for all staff. Your type of contract will decide which of the schemes you are eligible to join; our own scheme for Support staff and the College staff scheme are administered in-house, whilst the USS and NHS are administered centrally – with the University Pensions Office as your point of contact.
The schemes include:
- The Cambridge University Assistants Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS)
- The Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS)*
- The Cambridge Colleges Federated Pension Scheme (CCFPS)
- The National Health Service Pension Scheme (NHSPS)

Whichever scheme you’re eligible for, all give great benefits to help you save for retirement (see our “Why Should I Pay Into a Pension” question).
Whether you have just joined, have been a scheme member for a while, or are taking your pension, this site is your one-stop base to answer your queries and give you the resources you need.
If you’d prefer to talk to someone, the staff in the Pensions Office will be glad to hear from you – please visit the Contact page to find your Pensions Administrator.
